I heard about the Therapy Cap for Medicare… do I have physical therapy benefits?
The Medicare cap is $1,860. However, patients can exceed the cap under certain situations. Speak to our billing department to see if you qualify. There are exceptions for the Therapy Cap. Certain conditions fall into an exception where there is NO cap for that condition. If you have Medicare and you are not sure if you have any benefits left with a particular condition, call our office and we will let you know.
What will I have to pay for each visit if I have medical insurance?
Depending on your individual benefits, co-insurance, deductible and co-payments may be applied. In cases of private pay, payments plans may be designed or tradition payment is given following the service date.
If I do have a co-payment or deductible, what forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal check, or money orders, credit or debit cards.
Do I need to see a doctor before coming for physical therapy?
Current New York State law DOES NOT require a prescription prior to initiating physical therapy services. A
prescription is needed after a certain number of visits.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring your prescription from your doctor (if you have one), along with your insurance card, comfortable clothing and driver’s license.
Are your therapists licensed?
Yes. Each of our physical therapists is licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of New York, by the New York State Office of the Profession.
Are your therapists trained on site and have the continued education?
Yes this is a unique feature at Reddy Care Physical Therapy. Our therapists get courses, one-on-one direct training on new techniques and education as a means of enhancing their skill level. As more and more new skills and techniques come to the fore front of physical therapy, we are very motivated to teach these skills to our staff to help create a better healing environment. This creates a very interested clinical staff and happier clients.
Will I have a different therapist
each time?
Our goal is make sure that each patient is comfortable with their therapist. The only time that a client has to
see another therapist would be if the therapist is on vacation or the client is unable to come in during the
therapists working hours. Since our therapists are very skilled, we recommend that you schedule your
appointments in advance to secure a set time.
What type of treatment will I receive?
All physical therapy treatments are carefully tailored to the individual needs of each patient. In all cases,
physician communication is initiated and a team-based approach is utilized to assist our clients in attaining
their goals. Based on our initial evaluation and physician recommendations, we will establish a plan of care to meet our client’s needs.
I’ve heard about Reddy Care Physical Therapy’s “hands on” approach, what is this all about?
We enjoy practicing techniques that gets results. In a considerable amount of research, manual therapy “hands-on” has shown to get better results and quickly improve client conditions. Since we are interested in helping clients eliminate their dysfunctions, manual therapy has been a cornerstone of our success and skill set.
Do therapists share the exact same
technique or method?
Although we study many similar techniques and train together, each therapist brings their own approach to helping clients. We use emails, charts and other forms of communication to clearly identify the treatments, but
constantly seek to find which intervention serves you the best. Our office has therapists skilled in a wide
range of physical therapy techniques. If you find a technique or methods that work better for you, please let us
know.
How do you quality assure the treatments to see how a clients is progressing?
This is not a typical question asked by a client, but is a very important one. Since we are interested in getting results, it is important that someone review a client’s progression and treatment. Our office employs a person to do this and we are constantly looking over your progression to assure measurable outcomes and satisfaction.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, fairly loose, clothing. Often times, people change into more comfortable clothing upon arriving at our office. So, if need be, bring a change of clothes and you can get changed before your appointment.
