Aquatic therapy is a form of physical therapy that involves exercises that are performed in water for physical rehabilitation, relaxation, fitness and other therapeutic benefits. Aquatic therapy may include underwater walking and stair training for stretching and water weights for strengthening. Aquatic therapy reduces the amount of gravity on a person helping them move more with less pain and pressure on their joints and muscles.
