Managing Diabetes with Confidence

Diabetes is a long-term condition that affects how your body processes sugar (glucose). It happens when your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t use insulin properly, causing high blood sugar levels that can lead to serious health problems if not managed.
There are two common types of diabetes:
- Type 1 Diabetes: The body makes little or no insulin.
- Type 2 Diabetes: The body doesn’t use insulin efficiently (insulin resistance).
Recognizing the Signs of Diabetes
- Frequent urination
- Excessive thirst
- Extreme fatigue
- Blurry vision
- Slow-healing cuts or wounds
- Tingling or numbness in hands and feet
- Unexplained weight loss (more common in Type 1)
