Personalized Balance Program

Personalized PT & OT Balance Program

Balance can be described as the sense which allows us to perceive where our bodies are in the environment and hold a desired position. Bad balance can be a symptom of many things; ear infections, different neurological conditions, high or low blood pressure, can all cause you to lose balance. Chronic loss of balance, or Balance Disorders, can make daily tasks difficult and can be dangerous, increasing your risk of falling. Physical therapy can help improve balance in certain cases by using different exercises.

There’s a fundamental link between your gait, or the way you walk, and your ability to keep your balance while you are moving.  A physical therapist can evaluate a patient and help improve the way they walk and develop a personalized treatment plan for them which may include targeted exercise to strengthen muscles and stretches to improve flexibility. Physical therapists are experts in movement and can spot potential problems with your strength or posture which may be contributing to any balance issue and help you correct it. Your therapist can also offer coping mechanisms or helpful tips that can help improve your balance during dizzy spells.

At Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy, we have state-of-the-art facilities and a team of expert therapists ready to serve you. Don’t suffer from dizziness and balance issues, come see how Reddy Care can help you today!
