Physical Therapy can help your pinched nerve pain!

Pinched nerves occur when compression or pressure is applied to a nerve. The most common areas to experience a pinched nerve are in your neck, shoulder, lower and upper back. You may also experience pinched nerves in your arm, hand, elbow or wrist. Bones, muscles, tendons, and cartilage are examples of structures which can interfere with nerve roots.

It is important to see a doctor if you have pain due to a pinched nerve. Your doctor may recommend undergoing one or more of the following procedures: x-ray, computed tomography (CT) scan, electromyography (EMG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nerve conduction study or high resolution ultrasound.

Reddy Care Physical and Occupational therapists are experienced in relieving inflammation, pressure and pain. The first stage of treatment will involve relieving inflammation and healing the tissues. Other physical therapy treatments may involve stretches, exercise prescription, massage therapy, or myofascial release.

If you have any symptoms which may be caused by a pinched nerve, don't hesitate to call our team at Reddy Care Physical and Occupational Therapy to get help.
