Work Hardening with WorkSTEPS
Reddy Care Physical, Occupational, and Aquatic Therapy offers WorkSTEPS® work hardening programs to help individuals safely return to physically demanding jobs. Work hardening is a structured rehabilitation approach that rebuilds strength, endurance, and functional ability so workers can return to their jobs with reduced risk of reinjury.
What Work Hardening Does
Work hardening prepares your body for the specific physical demands of your job.

The program combines physical conditioning with simulated work tasks to restore confidence, capability, and readiness.

How Your Program Is Customized
Your Reddy Care therapist designs a personalized plan based on your injury, job description, and the tasks required at work.

- Weight-lifting retraining for workers injured while lifting
- Strengthening and mobility exercises for jobs involving climbing, kneeling, or bending
- Endurance and flexibility training for truck drivers or equipment operators

- Strengthening and flexibility exercises
- Cardiovascular conditioning
- Spine and joint stabilization
- Functional job simulations (lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, climbing, carrying, etc.)
