Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain all over the body (also referred to as widespread pain), sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress.

Symptoms

• Widespread pain
• Joint and muscle stiffness after sleeping
• Headaches
• Irregular sleep patterns
• Tingling and numbness in the hands and feet
• Restless legs syndrome
• Densitivity to cold or heat
• Difficulties with memory and concentration, known as “fibro fog”
• Fatigue
• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

When you have fibromyalgia, you may have more pain-sensing cells than usual. You may also have fewer cells that slow pain signals. This means that your pain volume is always turned up, much like music on the radio. As a result, minor bumps and bruises hurt far more than they should. And you may experience pain from things that should not cause you any discomfort.

What causes fibromyalgia?

• Sleep issues
• Genetics
• Stressful events

Despite the fact that there is no cure for fibromyalgia, a number of medications can be used to manage symptoms. physical therapy may help ease the symptoms of pain. It can also help reduce stiffness and fatigue
