Lightforce Laser Therapy

Lightforce Laser Advanced Technology

Laser therapy is quickly becoming recognized as a painless, non-invasive, drug-free, and highly effective form of treatment. The FDA regulates different lasers for medical use. They can be used surgically, or therapeutically to treat a variety of conditions.

Clinicians are using laser therapy more than ever. Having a lower power density than regular surgical lasers, therapy class IV lasers, are FDA approved for the relief of minor muscle and joint pain.  Many patients have experienced first-hand the benefits of laser therapy. Using a process called photobiomodulation, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome c complex within the mitochondria, this interaction triggers a cascade of biological events which increase cellular metabolism and decrease pain and inflammation.

Many patients and practitioners like it because of the ability to provide long-lasting relief without side-effects. While some may be hesitant or fear the pain of the laser, there is really nothing worry about. Treatment is fast and most experience little to no sensation, at most a gentle soothing warmth. The laser therapy sessions themselves are usually only 5-10 minutes depending on the injury, and relief is sometimes instantaneous.

Therapeutic lasers can be used with great success to treat post-surgically, or after an injury.  They can be used in combination with other physical therapy treatments to help you recover faster. If you are curious as to how laser therapy can help you, contact our team here at Reddy Care Physical and Occupational therapy. We can help you get out of pain.
