Living with Arthritis?

Arthritis is a disease that causes inflammation and degeneration to one or more of your joints. During the colder season, we often complain of joint pain, stiffness in the muscles and inflammation. Symptoms of arthritis are different depending on the type and joints affected. The most common types of arthritis are Osteoarthritis, Juvenile arthritis, Gout, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Psoriatic arthritis. Each type of arthritis has different causes including wear and tear, infections, and underlying diseases.

Arthritis is mostly common in the feet, hands, hips, knees, and lower back. Arthritis symptoms may include:

Treatment for arthritis varies depending on the type you have and the symptoms you are experiencing. Physical therapy is often recommended to help provide relief, improve range of motion and maintain function. It is important to stay active and exercise to reduce your joint stiffness and muscle weakness.
