About Christos Mouzakitis, PT, DPT

Chris holds a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology, in which he accumulated a wide array of knowledge in manual therapy, sports orthopedic rehabilitation, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Prior to attending Physical Therapy school, Chris played Division II soccer at the New York Institute of Technology, making 2 NCAA tournament appearances.

While in school, Chris completed 4 clinical rotations across various settings while treating diverse populations within fast-paced clinical environments. These experiences ranged from outpatient orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, acute care, geriatrics, and pediatrics. His clinical experience also includes working with collegiate and professional baseball, basketball, football, and soccer athletes. Chris has a passion for providing the best possible quality care to every patient. His approach applies treatment focused on pain alleviation, functional movement, and returning to prior levels of function with a focus on sports rehabilitation and injury prevention. Chris’s approach always accounts for individual differences related to each injury.

Chris is working to further his education in the field of physical therapy by taking courses in Functional Manual Therapy (FMT) through the Institute of Physical Art and pursuing advanced certifications as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
